1. Vim Text Editor
Vim is a highly configurable text editor built to enable
efficient text editing. It is an improved version of the vi
editor distributed with most UNIX systems. With a full range of
functions, this is a most useful tool, although learning is
required to use it efficiently. The procedures are so useful for
programming that one could consider it to be an entire IDE. Not
just for programmers, though, this is appropriate for all kinds
of text editing, from composing email to editing configuration
files. Currently runs under Amiga DOS, MS-DOS,
MS-Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP, Atari MiNT, Macintosh, BeOS,
VMS, RISC OS, OS/2 and almost all flavours of UNIX. Freeware or

This is a delightful site with a huge variety of clipart
ranging from Snow and Roses to frogs and fishes. Although the
site is called School Clipart, and indeed would be very handy
for schools and project work, the range of visuals is really
delightful, varied and very suitable for a wide variety of

This is an amazing and awesome site, featuring Astronomical and
Satellite Data. The site carries all the information you need
to observe satellites such as the International Space Station
and the Space Shuttle, spectacular events such as the
dazzlingly bright Flares from Iridium satellites as well as
other past satellite activities. A wealth of other spaceflight
and astronomical information, is beautifully presented on the
site. Incredible real time visuals of the constellations and
planetary systems are quite something to behold. The satellites
track through the heavens, and all the graphics of planetary
activity, constellations and so on are generated in real-time
and customized for specific locations, and time zones. This

1. MSN Messenger
We know this is already very well known but it is a glaring omission
from the Tudogs website so we thought we better give it a review.
Of all the free chat software applications MSN Messenger seems
to be the most widely used. Messenger will allow you to create
a connection with friends, family and other contacts as long as
they have a .NET Passport. You can then communicate with them
in real time. Script communication and downloadable pictures,
backgrounds and emotion icons are available for you to use in
your communication. This service is a must, if you want to
communicate in the now, without waiting for the lengthy
business of downloading your e- mails. Other communication
systems, such as messages to a cell phone, games, parental
controls for kids, and spam blockers are available on the site.

2. Fireworks
Here is a small application that demonstrates how to create a
real-time firework effect, and has the source code available
for developers. The application features realistic explosions

What a delightful little piece of software. A drawing program
for young children, or anyone, for that matter who wants to
learn how to draw on the computer. It has a very simple,

It provides a blank canvas and a full variety of drawing tools

historic information is given on the Monuments and Museums and
one can really update ones knowledge on these famous places from
the information on the site. Very handy for school projects or
just personal enjoyment. There is a lot of information on Hotels
and Tariffs, with visuals, all you will need to know on tours,
street maps, Airports and connections. Also very comprehensive
information on other tourism features, art sales, money exchange
